Standards differ between states and countries, and they change over time. Our pages are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these organizations. Pronunciation and word choices

Vowel sounds vary between accents and regions, and our lists follow common US classroom usage. Some words may not suit every learner or community. Choose the words that fit your learner, and model them in your own natural accent.

Printables and activities

Some printables involve scissors, glue or small counters. Please supervise young children and choose materials that are safe for their age.
